Getting Started

Project Word uses one general application for all our programs, plus special applications for deadline-specific projects like the Native Voices climate change project.

The Native Voices project focuses on climate change impacts in indigenous communities—specifically on-the-ground observations of select communities and their adaptations strategies. For more information, see Indigenous Narratives: Climate Change Impacts. Project Word support for this project will include expenses, paid travel to select indigenous communities, proposal development, developmental editing, and introductions to editors.

Once you have checked Project Word’s writers' guidelines and writers' qualifications, you can fill out and mail in either application. Please note July 1, 2009, deadline for the Native Voices application.
